Advertise on MyBB Security

Hey guys,

It's been decided that we at MyBB Security are going to be offering text link advertising - with a twist.

Every cent made from the advertising will be donated towards to MyBB Group to fund server costs, security audits, and other miscellaneous expenses. To view more information click here.

Requirements:

• Link must be to a MyBB powered forum
• Forum must contain the minimum 'Powered By' message
• Forum must abide by the MyBB support eligibility policy (i.e. no warez/hacking/pornography)
  

The minimum cost for a text link advertisement is $5 USD, but it can be as much as you want to donate.

Note: The official MyBB PayPal account is currently unable to receive payments. If you wish, use this method and the donation will be transferred to the official MyBB PayPal account at a later date.


To purchase a placement, click here and select 'Advertising' as the subject. In your message enter how much you want to donate and the URL/title of the advertisement. We'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Sounds like a good idea Nathan. May I ask where the text advertisements will be shown?

It is yet to be confirmed where exactly, but they will be shown in one of three places:

• The the bottom menu where the MyBB links are located
• Floated to the right of the breadcrumb
• Directly under the bottom menu where the MyBB links are located
  

I think we'll let the first few people choose where they want the link to show and see how it goes.

How much to have a section at the bottom of index titled "Off-Topic" and link to my forum?

An actual forum which will redirect?

As stated in the OP, the minimum is $5 but it can be how ever much you want to donate.

It'll work exactly like the current section linking to Twitter, whenever people click it redirects them, in the same tab, to http://www.mebes.net I'd like to pay a one time price where it'll be displayed lifetime, or for atleast a year.

The advertisements are priced per month. This is to allow other people the chance to donate too.

If you're willing to pay the minimum for 12 months which is $60 (12 x 5 = 60) then I'd be happy to accept. Otherwise you could pay for less months.

I'll think about this opportunity as so far this board is populated by users from community.mybb and this wouldn't give me exposure to unique members (who haven't yet seen my ad) yet.

I have a question. When users donate this will they get the signature feature to advertise on too? if advertising is allowed?
